AI costs
The AI costs page is a log of AI calls recorded for your workspace: which AI model answered, how many tokens it used and roughly what that cost. Admins use it to keep an eye on AI spending.
Where to find it
Menu: System › AI costs · Address: hub.siteconnect.ai/settings/ai-usageWho can use it: Admins by default. Other roles need the AI cost permission (view) — see Roles and permissions.
Photos & notes AI isn't listed here
The AI features in Photos & notes — voice-note transcription, captions, summaries and translation — don't record their usage on this page. On the Premium plan they run on Site Connect's own AI service, so there's nothing for you to pay per call. See AI features need the Premium plan.
Because of this, most workspaces see No logs yet on this page.
Read the page
The page opens with the title AI Logs and the line Track AI costs, tokens and speed.
When there are entries, you'll see:
- Summary cards at the top:
- Total calls — how many AI calls were recorded.
- This page's tokens — tokens used by the calls shown on the current page.
- This page's cost — the estimated cost of the calls on the current page.
- Per-call details — one row per call. The useful columns are:
- Model — the AI model that answered.
- Input and Output — tokens sent to the model and tokens it wrote back.
- Total — input plus output tokens.
- Cost — the estimated cost of that call. A call with no cost shows Subscription.
The table shows the most recent calls first.
How the cost is worked out
The cost isn't taken from your AI provider's bill. Site Connect estimates it from the model name and the number of tokens, using the provider's published price per token.
- Each cost is shown in two currencies: the main figure, and the US dollar amount in smaller type underneath. Use the US dollar figure.
- The estimate can differ from your provider's invoice, for example when the provider gives you a discount. Your provider's invoice is the real bill.
Good to know
- Entries are kept for 90 days, then removed automatically.
- If you use your own Claude or ChatGPT key, your AI provider bills you directly. Check your spending on the provider's own website too — see Integrations.
