Project templates
A project template is a saved starting point for new projects. When you create a project from a template, Site Connect copies the template's name, description, colour and any columns and tasks the template holds into a brand-new project.
Where to find it
Menu: Project › Project templates · Address: hub.siteconnect.ai/projects/templatesWho can use it: anyone with the Task · View permission can browse templates. Creating templates and projects from them needs Task · Create. See Roles and permissions.
Create a template
- Click Create template.
- Fill in Template name (required), Description, Category and Color.
- Click Create.
You'll see Template created, and the template appears in the list.
Create a project from a template
- Hover the template's row and click the green play button (Create a project from a template).
- Check the Project name (it starts as the template's name) and the Start date.
- Click Create project.
Site Connect creates the project with the template's columns and tasks. If the template has no columns, the project gets a standard set of task columns. Find the new project in Project › List, then add its address, team and other details on its Settings tab — see Inside a project.
Edit or delete a template
- Click a row (or the pencil that appears when you hover it) to open Edit project template. Change the details and click Save. When a template holds columns and tasks, they're listed here for reference.
- Click the trash icon to delete a template. You'll be asked to confirm.
Read the list

Use Search templates... to find a template by name.
Good to know
- The template form holds the name, description, category and colour. Columns and tasks can't be added or edited on this page.
- Creating a project from a template doesn't copy an address, team, stage or check-in settings. Set those on the new project.
