Timesheets (weekly and monthly)
The two timesheets show everyone's attendance on a grid: the weekly one for a quick look at who clocked in and when, the monthly one for payroll — with leave, holidays, totals and an Excel export.

Others need the View permission on the Timesheet row (weekly) or the Timesheet (monthly) row — see Roles and permissions.
Built from attendance, not task check-ins
Both timesheets are built from attendance records (clocking in and out on the Attendance tab of the mobile app), plus approved leave and holidays. Time spent checked in on tasks does not appear here. If your team only checks in on tasks, review their hours on each project's Work hours tab instead — see Attendance vs. task check-ins.

No sign-off step. The timesheets are read-only views — nothing is approved or locked here. Fix a day with an attendance correction, and hours spent checked in on tasks are reviewed on each project's Work hours tab instead.
Review a week
- Go to HR › Timesheet (weekly). The Weekly attendance board opens on the current week, Monday to Sunday, with one row per employee and one cell per day.
- Move between weeks with the arrows on either side of the week picker (Last week / Next week), or pick a week directly. This week brings you back.
- Narrow the list with All departments and All employees. Active employees (on by default) shows the people who worked for you during that week — including someone who left part way through it.
- Read the cells. Each worked day shows the check-in time (↓) and check-out time (↑), in 24-hour format. A check-out of →... means the person is still clocked in.
The colours are explained in the Legend under the grid:
| Colour / label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On-time attendance (green) | Clocked in and out, on time |
| Late in, early out (red) | Clocked in late or left early |
| No clock-in/out (yellow, labelled On shift) | Clocked in but not out yet |
| Paid leave (blue) / Unpaid leave (purple) | An approved leave request covers the day |
| Business trip / out of office (orange, labelled Business trip) | The clock-in was recorded as On-site |
| Public holiday | A holiday from Holidays |
| Weekly day off | A day outside your working week |
| No attendance record (grey, —) | A past working day with nothing recorded |
| Outside working hours | Before the person's hire date (Not yet started) or after their last day (No longer employed) |
| Shift not started | A day that hasn't happened yet |
Your working week comes from Timesheet credit rules.
Sort the weekly board
The Sort bar above the grid starts with Earliest check-in.
- Select a sort chip to flip its direction. Select × on it to remove it.
- Add sort adds another criterion: Latest check-in, Earliest check-out, Latest check-out, Name A–Z, Name Z–A, Department or Employee ID. The first chip wins; later ones break ties.
- Check-in and check-out sorting uses today if today is in the week you're viewing, otherwise the Sunday.
Review a month
- Go to HR › Timesheet (monthly). The toolbar shows Month and the month you're viewing; use the arrows to change it.
- Pick one or more teams in All teams / departments, or type in Search name / ID / department....
- Read the grid: one row per employee, one column per day, then the Department column and summary columns that count each symbol over the month's working days.
The Symbols: bar explains each mark:
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✓ | Full attendance |
| · (orange) | Late (no approved request) |
| · (yellow) | Left early (no approved request) |
| ⚠ | Missing check-in/out (no approved request) |
| AL · SL · PL · ML · LWOP | Annual leave · Sick leave · Personal · Maternity · Unpaid leave |
| WFH · BT | Work from home · Business trip |
| PH | Public holiday |
| ABS | Absent without leave |
| MP | Missing punch — only one of check-in / check-out |
| OB · NE | Offboarded (after the last working day) · Not yet started (before the hire date) |
A /2 or /4 suffix means half or a quarter of a day — from a part-day leave request, or ABS/2 when someone clocked in but only covered one of the day's two sessions. How a day earns its credit is set in Timesheet credit rules.
Look at one day in detail
Select any cell that has data. A small panel opens with:
- the leave request covering the day, if any (type, number of days, status), with Open approval request or Open in /leaves to jump to it;
- the attendance for the day — In:, Out:, Total: hours and the location;
- Days short on this date when the day earned less than full credit.
Close it with ✕, the Esc key, or by clicking anywhere else.
Export the monthly timesheet to Excel
- On Timesheet (monthly), pick the month and, if you like, the teams. (The search box doesn't affect the export.)
- Select Export to Excel. You'll see Exporting Excel..., then File downloaded.
The file has three sheets:
- Timesheet — the day grid with summary columns: WFH, Paid leave, Unpaid leave, Actual work days, Total days, Short days and Own standard days (the working days for that person, trimmed to their hire and last working dates).
- Legend — what every symbol and column means.
- Review — only the days that need attention, such as missing punches and days short of full credit, one per line, with the clock times and the credit given.
The file uses English symbols and headings when you're using the hub in English. Each day's credit in the file comes from your Timesheet credit rules.
Good to know
- There's no approve or lock step on the timesheets. Nothing needs to be signed off here. To change a day, the employee sends an attendance correction request — see Attendance adjustments.
- Approved late-arrival and early-leave requests turn a late or early day into a full day (✓) on the monthly timesheet.
- ABS on screen: a past working day with no attendance, no leave and no holiday always shows ABS on the monthly grid. Whether it's also marked and deducted in the Excel file depends on your credit rules.
- People are included for the period they worked for you, based on their hire date and last working date — someone who left mid-month still appears for that month.
- To review hours on tasks rather than attendance, use the project's Work hours tab (Project profile) and the Check-in map.
