How Site Connect works
Site Connect keeps your office and your crews on the same page. The office plans the work on the web; the crew sees it on their phones, does it, and checks in and out on site. Hours, photos and requests flow back to the office for review.
Two places, one workspace
| Where | Who uses it | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| The hub at hub.siteconnect.ai (web) | Owners, office staff, project managers, schedulers | Set up the company, add people, create projects and tasks, build the schedule, review hours, approve requests |
| The Site Connect app (iPhone and Android) | Everyone, especially the crew in the field | See assigned tasks, accept or decline them, check in and out, add photos and notes, send requests, chat |
Both use the same account and the same data. A change in one shows up in the other.
The building blocks
Workspace (your company)
├── People ........ employees, teams / departments, roles
├── Projects ...... one per job site — address, team, stage
│ └── Tasks .... the work to do — time window, assignees, notes, forms
│ └── Check-ins ... who was on the task, when, where, with photos
├── Scheduling .... every dated task, laid out by day, ready to send to the crew
├── Time .......... attendance and timesheets built from check-ins
└── Approvals ..... time off, adjustments and other requests- Workspace — your company's own space in Site Connect. Your people, projects and settings live here. One account can belong to more than one workspace.
- People — everyone who uses Site Connect, from the owner to the newest crew member. What each person can see and do depends on their role and permissions.
- Projects — a project is a job site. Its address puts it on the map and is where people check in.
- Tasks — tasks live inside a project. A task has a time window and one or more assignees.
- Scheduling — the Scheduling board shows dated tasks by day so you can plan the week. In Site Connect, new scheduled tasks start as drafts; your crew sees them once you send the schedule.
- Check-ins — on the app, workers check in when they start a task and check out when they finish. Those check-ins become their hours.
- Approvals — requests such as time off land in the approval inbox for a manager to approve or reject.
The whole path at a glance
From sign-up to the first approved week. The office does the blue steps on the web, the crew does theirs on the app, and Site Connect does the dark-blue steps for you.

Nothing has to be set up first. A new workspace already has roles, approval templates and team chat, so you can add people straight away. Teams / departments are optional — they only group people on the Scheduling board and in reports. Check the workspace time zone in System › General settings before you schedule anything.
