Personal settings and profile

Your personal settings are yours alone: your photo and contact details, your password, your working time zone, how Site Connect looks for you and how it notifies you. Nothing you change here affects your coworkers.

Where to find it

Menu: your avatar (top-right corner) › Personal settings · Address: hub.siteconnect.ai/meWho can use it: everyone who is signed in.

Find your way around Personal settings

The left column shows your photo, name and email, then six sections:

SectionWhat you do there
AccountChange your photo, open your full profile, set your working time zone, log out
NotificationAllow browser notifications, see which automations message you
AppearanceLanguage, light or dark theme, chat colors and font size
Mobile appArrange the bottom menu of the Site Connect app on your phone
SecurityChange your password
UtilitiesAuto-hide the secondary menu

The bottom of the column shows the Version of the web app — handy when you report a problem.

Switch language or theme from the avatar menu

You don't have to open Personal settings for these two. Click your avatar in the top-right corner:

  • Language — pick English, Français (French) or Vietnamese. The page switches right away, and the choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to other computers.
  • Appearance — Light, Dark or System (follows your computer's setting). The theme is remembered on each computer.

The same choices are in Appearance › Display language and System theme.

Change your profile photo

  1. Open Personal settings › Account.
  2. Click your photo (or the circle with your initial). A camera icon appears when you hover over it.
  3. Choose an image file of up to 5 MB.

You see Avatar updated, and your new photo shows across Site Connect, including chat.

Edit your profile

  1. In Account, click Open profile (or Edit personal details).
  2. On the Information tab, click Edit profile.
  3. Change your Display name (in this workspace), Phone, Job title or Position.
  4. Click Save. You see Workspace profile updated.

The Information tab also shows your email, department and employee code. You can't change those yourself — ask an administrator (see Employees).

One person, several workspaces

Your photo, display name, phone and job title are kept separately in each workspace you belong to. You can use a different job title at each company — see Workspaces.

Add an emergency contact

  1. In Account, click Emergency contact (or open your profile and choose the Emergency contact tab).
  2. Click + Add (or ✏️ Edit if you already have one).
  3. Fill in the Full name, Phone and Relationship (Spouse, Parent, Sibling, Child, Friend or Other). Click + Add contact for another person.
  4. Click Save.

Set your working time zone

Task deadlines, the morning digest and what counts as "today" for you follow your working time zone. People who give you work can also see what time it is where you are.

  1. In Account, find My working time zone.
  2. Click Choose your working time zone (or Change if one is already set).
  3. Type in Search time zones... — for example Toronto or Vancouver — and click the right one.

You see Working time zone saved. If your computer is set to a different zone, a line under the card offers Your device is set to … — use this one.

It keeps itself up to date

Once you have a working time zone, Site Connect updates it automatically when you open the web app on a computer — or the Site Connect app on a phone — that is set to a different time zone. Travelling crews don't have to remember to change it.

Change your password

  1. Open Personal settings › Security and click Change next to Password. Your profile opens on the Change password tab.
  2. Type your Current password.
  3. Type a New password (at least 6 characters) and type it again in Confirm new password.
  4. Click Change password. You see Password changed!

For your security, every device signed in to your account is then signed out. Sign in again with the new password on your phone and other computers — this browser will ask you to sign in again shortly too.

Forgot your current password? Sign out and use Forgot password? on the sign-in page — see Sign in and reset your password.

Choose how you're notified

Open Personal settings › Notification:

  • In-app is Always on — you see a badge and a pop-up while Site Connect is open.
  • Web push (browser) shows notifications even when the Site Connect tab is closed. If it says Not granted, click On and allow notifications when your browser asks. If it says Blocked, you turned notifications off for this site earlier — re-enable them in your browser's site settings.
  • Flows notifying you lists the automations that send messages to you by name. Click one to open it, or click Open Automation. Automations that work out the recipient on the fly (for example "the task's assignee") aren't listed.

Arrange your mobile app menu

Open Personal settings › Mobile app. This is the bottom menu of the Site Connect app on your phone, for the workspace you're in.

If you see Your workspace uses one menu for everyone — contact an administrator if it needs to change., your company has fixed the menu. Otherwise, under My menu:

  1. Use the up and down arrows to reorder items. The first slot is the screen the app opens on.
  2. Click the × to remove an optional item. Items marked Locked by workspace or Always there can't be removed.
  3. Under Add to menu, click an item to add it. When the menu is full, remove one first.
  4. Check the Preview, then click Save. You see Saved — the app switches menus the next time it opens.

To go back to your company's standard menu, click Use the workspace menu. Administrators decide which items are required or optional in Mobile app settings.

Chat colors and font size

In Appearance › Internal messages, pick a Primary color for the Chat area and a Font size: Small, Standard, Large (the default, easy to read) or Extra large. In the dark theme, chat always uses dark colors.

Give your page more room

In Utilities, turn on Auto-hide the secondary menu. The module menu then only slides out when you move the mouse over the left rail. See Find your way around.

Sign out

Click your avatar and choose Sign out, or click Log out at the bottom of Personal settings › Account.
