Check-in map
The check-in map shows where people actually were when they checked in. Each pin is one check-in, placed where the phone was at that moment, and each project's address has a circle around it so you can see at a glance who was on site and who wasn't.

Read the map
- Pins — one per check-in, at the spot where the person checked in.
- Circles — the radius around each project's address.
- Under the page title, a results line counts the check-ins, people and projects shown, plus any check-ins that have no coordinates (and so can't be drawn).
Every check-in falls into one of these location statuses:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Within range | The person was inside the radius around the project address. |
| Outside range | The person was outside the radius. They were still allowed to check in if the project allows check-in away from the address. |
| Inconclusive | The project has no pinned address, so there was nothing to measure against. This is not the same as being in the wrong place. |
| Mock location | The phone reported a location injected by a location-faking app. |
| Auto-closed by system | The session was closed automatically because the person forgot to check out. |
Click a pin to see the details of that check-in.
Filter the map
- Search — by project or person.
- Time — starts on This month. Pick another preset or a custom range.
- Projects — zoom in on one project.
- Status — show only one location status. Each option shows how many check-ins it has.
- Whole team / Mine only — switch between everyone's check-ins and just your own.
Active filters show as chips you can remove, or click Clear all.

Why some check-ins are missing
- No coordinates — the phone couldn't get a location (for example, the person denied location permission), or the check-in was added later by hand. These are counted in the results line but can't be pinned.
- Too many check-ins — the map draws at most the 1,000 most recent check-ins in the period. Narrow the date range to see them all.
Good to know
- To refuse check-ins that are too far from the site, turn off Allow check-in away from the project address in the project's check-in settings. See Inside a project.
- Projects without an address always show as Inconclusive. Set the address on the project to get a real range check.
