Attendance

The Attendance tab is for clocking in and out of your working day — your time present — and for checking your attendance record, your monthly timesheet and your annual leave balance.

Where to find it

App menu: Attendance — not on the default menu. Your administrator adds it on the web under System › Mobile app (see Mobile app menu). Attendance reminders in Chat also open this screen. Who can use it: people whose company tracks attendance this way.

Most crews only check in on tasks

In Site Connect, the hours you work on a job come from checking in and out on a task — see Check in on site and Work log. Clocking in on the Attendance tab is a separate record. If your company hasn't added the tab, you don't need it. More: Attendance vs. task check-ins.

What's on the screen

From top to bottom:

  • The clock, with your name, team and job title.
  • Work shift — your shift name, start and end times, and Lunch break if there is one. If no shift is set for you it says No shift assigned — you can still clock in.
  • The big round button — Clock in (blue) before you start, Clock out (red) while you're in, and Complete once your day is recorded. If your day has more than one session, it shows which one is next (for example Session 2 of 2 today).
  • Work schedule — only if you have scheduled tasks in the next two weeks. Tap it to open your Schedule.
  • Today — your Check-in and Check-out times, each marked On time, Late or Left early, and your Hours worked.
  • Annual leave remaining — see Your time off below.
  • RECENT HISTORY — your last few days. Tap a day for its Attendance details.
  • LEAVE THIS MONTH — only shown when you have time off this month.

Clock in

  1. Open Attendance and allow Site Connect to use your location if your phone asks.
  2. Tap Clock in.
  3. If the app asks Where are you checking in from?, choose At the office (your location is taken automatically) or Off-site (a photo and your location are required).
  4. If a photo is needed, the camera opens — take the photo.
  5. You'll see Checked in (office) or Checked in (off-site). The button turns red and shows the time you checked in.

What's required — a photo, your location — depends on where you are and on your company's Attendance settings.

Working outside the office

If you're away from your company's Locations, the screen may ask you to get approval first. A banner says You are outside the office:

  1. Tap Create out-of-office request. The request form opens with your location already attached.
  2. Fill in the form and tap Submit request.
  3. The banner changes to Out-of-office request submitted · Awaiting approval. Wait for your manager to approve it, then clock in.

Once it's approved, the banner says Out-of-office request in effect. If you have an approved work-from-home request for the day, it says Working from home instead.

Clock out

Tap Clock out when you finish. If you're outside the office, the app may ask for a photo first. You'll see Checked out.

With no signal

You can clock in and out without a connection. The app saves the time you tapped and sends it later — you'll see a message like Clocked at 7:02 — will be sent once you're back online, and Today shows Waiting to sync. If a record couldn't be sent, it's listed as Couldn't be sent with Retry and Discard buttons. More: Working with no signal.

Check your timesheet

  1. Tap View all next to RECENT HISTORY. The Timesheet opens on the current month.
  2. Use the arrows to change month, or tap the month to Select month.
  3. The cards at the top count Days worked, On time, Late, Left early, Absent and Leave. Below, each day shows your in and out times and its status. Legend explains the colours.

Fix a missed clock-out or a wrong time

If you forgot to clock out, a red banner at the top of the screen says so (for example No check-out on 2 days) — tap it to open the timesheet.

  1. Find the day:
    • In RECENT HISTORY, tap the day, then tap Submit explanation.
    • In the Timesheet, tap the day. For a day with no check-out, the app first explains what's missing — tap Submit explanation (or Later).
  2. The attendance correction request opens in Approvals with the date filled in. Enter the right times and the reason, then tap Submit request.

When your manager approves it, your attendance record is corrected. Follow it under Approvals › Sent — see Approvals. If your company hasn't set up a correction template, the app says No attendance-correction template; ask your administrator.

Your time off

The Annual leave remaining card shows how many days you have left and how many you've used this year. Tap it to see this year's leave requests and where each one stands. To ask for time off, send a request from Approvals. The card doesn't appear if annual leave doesn't apply to you.

Good to know

  • Forgot to clock in or out? Site Connect can remind you with a message in Chat. Tapping it opens this screen.
  • Late and Left early are only worked out when you have shift hours. What each status means: Attendance management.
  • Pull down to refresh.
  • Hours on this tab are kept separately from My work, which only counts task check-ins.
